Books day 16: Nothing Gold Can Stay

30 day Book Meme

Day 16 – Favorite poem or collection of poetry
Poerty has become less and less my thing as I’ve gotten older. I used to love writing poems, I was a founding member of my High School Poetry club. I don’t really read it or write it anymore. It sort of is something I’ve lost. Still, when asked for my favorite poem, the one that came to mind was something from The Outsiders.

Nothing Gold Can Stay By Robert Frost

Nature’s first green is gold
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
