Letter from mom Year 1.11

Dear Landon-
In only one short month, you will be two!
This month was a lot of travel again, although I think we might be settling down and keeping it in the state for a while after that last trip.
We took you up to Portland, Oregon, Drove through Tillamook to Bay City OR to stay at the Cottage by the Sea, AKA, Grandma’s beach house. While in Oregon you:

-Went 29 hours straight without seeing your parents (Grandma and Grandpa watched you so mom and dad could get away for a day)

-Went to a beach for the first time ever, and saw the Pacific Ocean for the first time ever

-Got splashed with a sneaky wave

-Went to the Aquarium in Newport where you got to pet a starfish

-Went Crabbing with Grandpa

-Slid down a huge slide by yourself

-Played in many play places at many malls and visited Powell’s Books

-Went for a Swing on the beach in Seaside and visited the Aquarium

-Drove up to Washington to have dinner with some of Mom and Dad’s friends

our friends Sam and Becky, along with Bobby and Landon, at Becky’s family home in Long Beach WA. It was beautiful. 7/6/08

-Played in the dirt at the cottage by the sea

-Stayed awake for the entire trip and flight home.

You were very good in Portland, Mostly. You really did stay awake for the entire flight home, and were pretty good about it.

This month we also took you to see your first movie ever at the theatre. We went to see Wall-E. You weren’t as good there as you could have been, but you seemed to have fun.

I hope this month has been an adventure for you, and that you had as much fun as we did.
