The Henchwoman

Hi, I’m Jen. I’m a henchwoman, and this is my story.

Why a henchwoman? Every Thursday night, a large group of my friends gathers to eat a meal together and catch up on what is going on in our lives. At one point we nicknamed ourselves “The Hench.” And so, I became a henchwoman, and my husband is a henchman. We have two little henchlings of our very own.

I’m one of those terribly lucky people who is married to their best friend. Bobby also happens to have been my high school sweetheart. We met in 1993, started dating in 1995 (start of our junior year) and got married in 2000. We also moved from Arizona to Oregon in 2000. I finished up my Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management at Portland State. We returned to Arizona in 2005 to be closer to our families, and in order to have children of our own.

I write for examiner.com as the Phoenix Love and Marriage Examiner. I work full time as a buyer for a large company. I also contribute over at The Hench Reads

In my free time I enjoy reading, writing, and gaming. I read anything, but my favorites are usually urban fantasy, science fiction, and romance. I enjoy all sorts of games, tabletop, computer, console, and board. I collect dice. I’m a geek.

I love my family. We have two boys; Landon who was born in August of 2006 and Oliver, who was born in November of 2009. Landon is allergic to milk and loves cars. Ollie had some health problems as a baby, but seems to be on track and growing very well. Oliver loves all food! I write them notes and post picture of them over at Landon and Ollie.
