Books Day 2: Alpha and Omega

30 day Book Meme
Day 02 – A book or series you wish more people were reading and talking about
I really wish more people would read the Alpha and Omega series by Patricia Briggs. Briggs started writing in the universe of Alpha and Omega in her Mercy Thompson series. The world in which both series take place is a world full of supernatural beings. Recently, the Fae came out of the closest and admitted their existence to the public. Alpha and Omega is a series about a pair of werewolves, Anna and Charles.

Anna and Charles first meet in the short story compilation called “On the Prowl.” The story was so well written that I finished it, and went back to the start and reread the story right away. Anna is an abused omega wolf in a dysfunctional pack. Charles is the enforcer for his father, the Marrok. The Marrok is basically the Alpha or king of the American werewolves. Charles has been sent to investigate some strange reports about the Anna’s pack. One of the things I love is that the next two books have Anna and Charles already as a couple, working through there issues and having adventures together.
I adore the universe that Briggs has created. I relish the idea that the story goes on after the couple falls in love, and that the couple can go on and have exciting adventures together. I have really been enjoying watching their relationship with one another grow and evolve. The writing is excellent, the story is enthralling, and almost no one else is reading this series that I know of!
