Landon letter 3.11

Dear Landon,
You are three years and 11 months old. You are almost a 4 year old. Where has the time gone?

You are very plugged in. You love video games, computers, ipods, and TV. Your current favorite movie is “Monsters Accordion” well, it’s Monster’s Inc. But you don’t call it that. You are back on a Might Machines kick. I wonder if you will remember that show when you are old enough to read these letters. The theme song to Might Machines cracks me up, so here it is:

Mighty machines, big and mighty machines
working for you doing mighty things they’re…mighty machines.
Hear them roar, watch them soar, sit right down and see,
there are stories to enjoy for every girl and boy.

Mighty machines, big and mighty machines
working for you doing mighty things they’re…mighty machines
working for you doing mighty things they’re…mighty machines!

Liftin’ and pullin’ and flyin’ so high, buildin’ a building up to the sky,
you can watch them all day and never know why they’re, Mighty Machines

Working for you doing mighty things they’re…mighty machines!

You also love books. We’ve been visiting the library to get you books recently, and you love all of the Truck Town books. You also are on another Goldbug kick. I think your current favorite book might be the library book called Robot Zot.

You love getting in the pool, and your swim lessons are going very well. I suspect that next summer we won’t be able to keep you out of the pool.

You are almost 4, so I’ve been attempting to work on getting you to do some things yourself, such as get yourself dressed in the morning. You can do it, but you don’t like to do it. You tell us “I CAN’T” and want help. It’s often easier to get you dressed ourselves than listen to you cry about it, so we probably give in more than we should.
At night, you always listen to the same music to go to sleep. If you are still awake when the 35 minute CD stops playing, you will lay in bed and cry for us to come start your music again.

Your dada is taking some time off from work to spend with you and your brother. The three of you have been having some fun adventures while I’m working. It makes me happy to see the three of you having fun together.

I love you always!

Love
Mama
