I know I’ve been a little lax about posting recently. A lot of that is because I’ve been busy working on Christmas gifts!
I’m hoping to start work on Christmas cards today, that would be a good thing. Also, we’re going to take Landon to meet Santa for the first time, pictures to follow!
I re-read the Twilight saga AGAIN. Please shoot me now. I find myself liking Breaking Dawn. Blah. It felt good, with a good ending this time. I still think Stephanie Meyer’s is a bitch for not giving us more Twilighty goodness.

Anyway, so I saw this post, and it made itself into a MEME for me.

What are you reading? What book are you into? Tell me what books you are currently reading, or if you are in between books, tell me about your favorites!!!!

I’m reading Elantris by Brian Sanderson and also reading One Silent Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

Well I finally finished Sharon Shinn’s 12 Houses series (Mystic & Rider, The Thirteenth House, Dark Moon Defender and Reader & Raelynx) and I have got to say, I’m nothing short of obsessed. I think I find her writing style comfortable and familiar because it’s SO like my own, so I’m able to just really GET INTO the story without having to fight with sentence structure and language and nuances like that (unlike trying to slough through Tolkien.)

I think you’d really like them, they’re jovial Fantasy Medieval, about a world where magic exists and it’s very practical, there’s love stories and humor and adventure. It reads like a really great D&D campaign or- for me- it’s World of Warcraft applicable. The books center around six friends (party members? HMMMM?) and they’re just so good.

I’ll let you borrow mine if it’ll give us a reason to hang out!! XD Crap, if you like them you can keep them, it’ll give me a damn excuse to buy the hardcovers!

Last night, I couldn’t sleep, so I finished reading the last 1/3 of Acorna, and then read Patricia Briggs’ Stealing the Dragon in its entirety.

And I forgot to tell you that I am reading a biography of Charles Schulz, the Peanuts cartoonist. It’s very interesting–he was a complicated man. When I am done with it, I will get back to the Anita Blake series, I’m on the first set. I left my book on a plane a few weeks ago so can’t go on until I replace it. I also picked up Twilight, I’ll let you know what I think of it.
