Ha. It is 6/6/6. Happy number of the best day!
The weekend was not too busy.
Saturday we went out to see the house. The insulation is up, and this week (I’ve heard this before) the walls (sheet rock) should be up, and the stucco should follow. We attempted to order doors from Home Depot. They should be out next Thursday to measure for fitting the doors. Once the doors are measured, we can order and have them hung. Once they are hung, we can lock the house up, which means that we can actually put thing into the house and lock the door.

Our nice and foamy, er, Homey, home.

The scrapbook really has turned into more of a photo blog. I really like it. I’m hoping to be able to find a nice way to print it all out and make a physical scrapbook of it when the house is done.
I talked to my MIL a little. I know that all the baby shower invites should have gone out, but apparently no where on the invite does it specify it’s for a baby shower. Now most people look at the cute cards and see the “Welcoming Landon David” that was written in many of them, and can tell what it’s for. However, we have had 2 people (both single men) ask us what the invite is for, so apparently it’s not clear to everyone.
Also, she didn’t mention that we are registered at Babies R Us and online at http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/babyreg/2T5JTM3XO7QWE

I ended up watching my DVD, Dune Extended Edition Long Version Special Edition DVD, all the way through. It was very good. I do think that this version is the longest version available, and the longest one ever aired. I know I had seen it in the past, but it was long ago.
Sunday night Alon (who we meat via steeldreams’s birthday) mentioned our meeting on his radio show, http://www.chatterboxgameshow.com/ which was entertaining. We are currently planning to have a Super Monkey Ball Party at his house on Friday.
If you enjoy video games, his show is neat, and available for download, it airs live every Sunday night.
We had a not fun episode with Bobby’s car on Sunday. I will never buy a ford. Bobby’s work provides him with a vehicle. He had a 2000 Windstar (briefly I think), a 2001 Windstar, a 2002 Windstar, a 2003 Windstar, a Ford Freestar in 2004, and we currently have a 2006 Ford Taurus. We did not own these cars, his company provided them to us, as new cars.
The first few Windstars were good. The 2002 had a few issues, the 2003 was uncomfortable. The Freestar was very uncomfortable, and seemed somehow poorly built. We had a few minor issues with it. Overall, I just never liked the layout.
This Taurus has been awful. It currently has less than 7000 miles on it. We’ve had the engine light come on and off for no reason, the “Check Gas Cap” light and beep noise come on and off for no reason. (We checked the gas cap; it was fine, on tight)
The car makes a really annoying noise somewhere on the outside passenger front side when we go freeway speeds. Sometimes the noise is continuous and annoying, not to mention loud. Sometimes we don’t notice it all. The dealership wasn’t able to figure out what it was.
To top it off, Sunday afternoon the Drivers side window broke. It got stuck open. We drove to the local dealership, who told us tough, it’ll have to wait till Monday. We live at an apartment complex with no way to lock the car up.
Bobby finally, (after about an hour of pushing the button) got the stupid thing closed. Now we just don’t roll down that window until we have time to take it in. That means no drive thrus.
Sunday night we went over to Dirk and Laura’s where we played Betrayal at House on the Hill, which was much fun.
This weekend Bobby is supposed to play in a Hordes Tourney at Game Depot, and next week he will be out of town, back to CA for work.
I’m a little nervous about him being gone this time, I know I’ll only be 32 weeks along, but things happen, and not having someone there in the middle of the night in case of emergency has me nervous. I know that if I had any issues and he is home, he can take me to Labor and Delivery at the hospital to get checked out. Now I’ve had a fairly uneventful pregnancy, and I hope and pray it stays that way, but you never know for sure.
alullyra finally posted. Her little boy, Adrian Patrick was still born on June 2nd. I am so sorry for her loss.

How your baby’s growing: This week, your baby measures about 16 inches long. He weighs a little over 3 pounds and is headed for a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and he’s beginning to accumulate a layer of fat underneath his skin in preparation for life as a newborn. As a result, his arms, legs, and body are filling out.
The rate of physical growth slows down just a bit, but even though he doesn’t get much longer, he will gain a lot of weight the rest of the pregnancy. Fat continues accumulating. This layer of fat turns his skin from red to the rosy pink he will have as a newborn.
Calcium, phosphorus and iron are being stored and his bones are growing and hardening. His brain enters another period of rapid growth, producing hundreds of billions of new nerve cells! Amazing! He may move to the rhythm of music. Studies with heart rates show that he also prefers some types of music to others — already!
Lungs are the only major organ left to complete development. Remember, that while you may be anxious to meet your little one that these last few weeks can be vital – with each day increasing your baby’s ability to breathe on her own.
So my biggest worries still tend to be the weird dreams where Landon has no feet, and recently I’ve been worried that he is deaf. The weekly updates keep saying he should react to sounds, and he really doesn’t seem to.
That, and for some reason I feel like he will never turn into the correct position for labor, and will be breech or facing the wrong way or something come his birthday.
I can’t wait for Leo to start, because anytime during Leo, Landon will be considered full term and welcome to come out at any moment. If I haven’t had him as Leo draws to a close, I will probably be induced due to him being overdue. We’ll see what happens!
